Mid-Century Modern House
Leuchie Walled Garden is an outstanding example of a stylish 1960's mid-century modern house. Now completely renovated to accommodate contemporary standards of luxury, the property boasts a unique blend of modernity and tradition.
Leuchie was designed by the renowned Scottish architect, Sir James Dunbar-Nasmith who went on to design the Edinburgh Festival theatre. Sir James designed a house that fully embraces the concepts that were fashionable in the 1960s, using striking angles, glass & timber. The completed building sits naturally within the traditional brickwork of the walled garden.
The 2020 renovation was carried out by Gray Macpherson Architects who updated the layout of the house and added a kitchen extension, while maintaining the ethos and principles of the original design.
